I thought that was odd since my two HomeDepot.com purchases were $20 and $125.
The only purchase that would give me $3.20 at 10% is my $31.98 purchase at BestBuy.com for H&R Block tax software.
The progress email from Citi stated that I had spent $1034.32 on eligible home improvement purchases.
The only way that total is possible is if the $31.98 BestBuy.com purchase counted as "Home Improvement".
This is really bizarre.
The merchant category for Best Buy is Merchandise-ELECTRONIC STORES.
Anyway, just another datapoint.
I was just on the doctor of credit thread about these sorts of data points, and multiple other people have confirmed them counting as home improvement including this year. I was looking around for new "home improvement" places to buy third party gift cards from, so this is perfect.
