The Pheasant is a good shout. Alternatively, if you like Italian food, New Bettola is highly recommended and is 5 minutes in an Uber or similar via the 81 bus which picks up and drops off right outside the hotel. For a curry, Achari (5 mins in an uber or 25 mins walk) is recommended over the Kaniz. The White Horse serves decent food and is 15 mins walk.
Thanks for this. Actually, in that the HP itself serves a lot of pub favorites (classic or modern), would you say The Pheasant or White Horse is worth the trip? Presumably the environment is nicer, but in the depths of the winter, laziness might win the day.

Have you been to the White Horse recently and have a current opinion on the food? We did try and visit for dinner not that long ago, but the only available table was in a back room that was just way too claustrophobic, and too much dominated by the fireplace. Might try it again at lunch when we get back (and hope for up front or maybe outside).
The Crown in Harmondsworth? I'm afraid I haven't actually been to any of these, and if anything was more looking for advice. Those examples were random well-rated pubs I picked off the map.

From the responses above, The Pheasant seems well liked.
Five Bells, White Hart, and The Anchor also seem well rated (if anyone has opinions on those).
