I made a rare foray into the world of Marriott earlier in March 2025, with an overnight stay at the Marriott LaGuardia. It was fine, I slept well and it was convenient for LaGuardia. Though I saw the hotel's shuttle bus running, I chose to walk between the airport and the hotel, a distance of about 800 metres / a bit under 15 minutes to the B terminal. There is a safe pavement on the hotel's side of 102nd Street. The room was clean and to a modern standard of design - the photos on the Marriott webpage are representative. Check-in and check-out processes were efficient and friendly. I chose the hotel due to the rate, I'd normally stay in one of the two Hilton properties over the road, but I'd be happy to use this hotel in the future - the Hilton properties are both in need of refurbishment.
The only caveat I have relates to the fact I was allocated an odd numbered room, and these all overlook Grand Central Parkway, the main traffic artery locally, and the soundproofing wasn't good. Now as it happened I must have been so tired that I slept well regardless of the high level of traffic noise. But for sure next time I will request an even numbered room, which face into Ditmars Blvd, which has very little traffic. From what I can make out, the "airport view" category must also suffer from this traffic noise.
