Award booking error #4049

Tried booking using my Virgin points and as soon as I hit confirm and pay, it goes through the payment process then on the checking the booking process, it returned this error:

"Sorry, things change so quickly around here and that fare isn't available anymore. Please search again to see what's available. #4049."

Tried it several times and on different browsers. I see the same award flights available on Delta (just don't have enough miles to book there). Called VS CS and they say they could not see the flight I was trying to book. Is this fairly common on VS these days? I heard that have been issues with ghost awards availability since they've switched to dynamic pricing. Any suggestion on how to get around it? Thank you.
