My original plan for our last full day in Da Nang was a chill beach day, but Mrs. D4L got talked into another full day of touring by our guide. It was really great having the same driver and guide throughout, as we were able to customize our tour and leave a smidge later (much to Mrs. D4L’s delight). Our first stop was the Ba Na Hills, which was an hour away. Our driver dropped us off at the massive visitor’s center, which we navigated to get to the cable cars.
The view during the ride up was fantastic. The Ba Na Hill is covered with a thick jungle with a few pretty neat features, starting with the very cool Fairy Vein Waterfall
As we neared the top, the lush green jungle was shrouded by became shrouded by low level clouds. We broke through those low level clouds and got our first look of the Golden Bridge.
We got off the cable car and fought through the throng onto the bridge itself.
We spent the next hour or so exploring the grounds, which were pretty neat.
We then took another cable car down to the theme park, which I was actually impressed by. Disney-light for sure. But pretty cool.
After killing an hour there, we got into a cable car again for the final ride down and got a better look at the Fairy’s Vein on the way.
Our driver met us at entrance. We piled back into the Fortuner and headed back to Da Nang
First order of business is a fantastic lunch at cool little spot.
Then our driver took along the river over to Marble Mountain.
We stopped at a marble art shop for a sales pitch Mrs. D4L fell for, and then it was back to the hotel for a quiet evening in.
