As a Hyatt harlot, I booked at the Hyatt Regency Da Nang resort without a second thought. Spoiler alert: its now one of my favorite Hyatt properties due in large part to the phenomenal service. Service started the second we walked out of the immigration hall as I arranged for airport transfer through the hotel. The driver was waiting for us. After greeting us, he ran into the pouring rain to pull a newish Audi Q7 around.
After loading up our bags and offering us cold towels and bottled water, we were whisked over to the Hyatt Regency Da Nang resort. The ride took around 20 minutes.
As soon the Q7 stopped in front of the open air lobby, no less than five porters unloaded our four bags and escorted us over to the Regency Club for check in.
The Regency Club is adjacent to the lobby. Since we had club access thanks to my Globalist status, check in was handled at the Club.
We got to the hotel just before 7, which was when the evening snacks and drinks ends. So the staff invited us to partake while they checked us in. The spread was solid with salads, cheese, cold cuts, and a hot dish of the day which was dumplings.
Everything was tasty.
An attendant gave us our keys after we finished eating. Then a couple of porters materialized to help with our bags and showed us to our room, F7. Before leaving, the porters gave us a quick tour of the room.
I booked a base room for a $180 night and applied a Tier Suite Upgrade to get us into a Regency Suite. The hotel further upgraded us to a full sea view.
There’s a half bath attached to the living room.
As well as a dining area.
The bedroom was good sized, and the bed very comfortable.
Snacks, cake, fruit, and welcome drinks on coffee table.
The view of the East Vietnam Sea from our room was stunning. We had panoramic views from the living room, bedroom, and wet room.
The best part of our room was being able hop off the patio and take a 100 or so steps to the beach. I definitely enjoyed my daily sunrise walks.
The hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful.
There were several really cool pools.
There’s a pool reserved for Regency Club guests, with Marble Mountain as the backdrop. I never saw more than two people at that pool at a time.
Like I said, service was absolutely impeccable. After we checked in at the Regency Club, the staff knew us on sight and we never had to give our room number or identify ourselves when we entered. The porters who helped us out when we arrived at the resort also knew us on sight, and checked in on us when we bumped into them walking around. All of the other employees we interacted with were equally friendly and helpful.
We ran low on clean clothes and took advantage of the hotel’s laundry service. After we returned from a tour, I spent a good 10 minutes looking for them. I finally realized, the staff had hung up our newly fresh clothes in the closet. Now that’s service!
Mrs. D4L’s favorite hotel feature were the friendly cats that roamed freely around the hotel
We really enjoyed the Regency Club. The evening offerings were nice, but breakfast was fantastic with a large selection of hot and cold dishes. I loved the Vietnamese selections, especially the pho station and some the of best mangos I’ve ever eaten. Of course, there’s a nice selection of traditional Western items too.
