That'll be it then, my Iberia account was created in January so not recent enough. Many thanks for your help though.

My Qatar account will only do a transfer to BA.

Such an insane situation for the most simple thing, and it was relatively time critical as the flights came out today and are likely at their lowest price / avios cost for J.
