I absolutely despise this company (IAG) [issues transferring AVIOS from BA to EI]
Long story short:
I want to transfer all my avios from BA to Aer Lingus.
I phone Aer Lingus Platinum. They say it can't be done.
I try the website - the option for Iberia Plus and AerClub no longer exists
I try it via exec club app - immediately want to launch phone into the sea
I phone BA - insists it is on the website, can't understand their heavy foreign accent
I phone BA again - insists it is a technical glitch and will raise a ticket - struggle with different heavy foreign accent, gives me a new number
Phone new number, it's exec club blue helpline.
I phone AerClub back - insist they cannot do it even though others have success
I phone AerClub again on a different number, nobody answers for 28mins - agent is befuddled, doesn't appear to have heard of the internet, puts me on hold to ask others, hangs up.
I phone BA one last time - absolutely impossible to understand accent, give up.
So I booked flights with Virgin instead, and decide I will just use the points in a terrible way like a hotel booking or some wine just to get rid of anything associated with avios or BA.
I am sure at some point, in some way, it will get resolved and I will find a way to move them, I hope.
But honestly every single person associated with IAG's technology and customer service strategy should be fired. In fact just send the whole company under.
