But, if there are ground agents working the recheck desk at LAX that refuse to take overnight bags (as was kangarooflyer's experience above) then there's not much you can do, policy or not.
If they don't accept it, and you really want to check it overnight, try going to the regular check in area,
it's a short walk over to T4/T5 (the old T4 headhouse is closed now for construction) Original post is about JFK not LAX, whoops.
