Depends... If you aren't traveling with them, and they want free breakfast, then use the guest of honor. [They have a very nice buffet breakfast at the Hyatt Centric Ginza]. Otherwise, not much chance of an 'available suite' upgrade at this property or need for free parking, so I wouldn't use it.

Yes, awards can be - and most often are - applied retroactively. A suite upgrade at the Park Hyatt would be worth more to me than one at the HC Ginza but YMMV.
In the room details for the lowest grade suite at Park Hyatt Seoul, it only said: "See World of Hyatt program terms for upgrade eligibility." On some other hotel's site, I do see "Standard Suite" or "Premium Suite". What does it mean? Maybe I should call WOH Customer service? And do I have to call in to apply the suite upgrade certificate to an existing reservation anyway?

It's true about the Guest of Honor certificate. Not sure if they want breakfast every day. And on the other hand, we are only 10 nights or less away from Globalist and the Korea trip will add 12 nights to our account so it was a dumb question from me. :-)

Thank you for your help!!
