Wonder if anyone understands UA's inventory management system or has direct experience with Farelocks to know this. I ended up fare locking two separate one way tickets because I wasn't sure about my plans yet and there was a good chance I would not be able to do an RT flight. Turns out one of the one-ways is holding on to a discounted K space ticket. I ended up booking one of the first one ways, since it leaves NA and has no change fees. I can change the ticket to add the return flight, but there's only more expensive S space left.

Anyway, if I cancel that farelock, any clues about whether or not that space will reappear or if it'll just disappear into the ether?
