Arrived to check in at SYD. Saw the usual standees for the different classes and the long queues. Suites was missing! On no, was it a last minute equipment swap? Turned out that suites/first and TPPS check in would now be at a new SYD first check in area.

Found it easily with the standee. It is a small fenced off area. One agent was working the area. Was invited to take a seat. Passport and luggage were taken to issue the boarding pass and to be checked in respectively through a side entrance which appeared to contain the usual check-in counter.

I thought security and immigration would be through that same side entrance but was guided to the usual first/business queue outside the check-in area.

​​​​​The sofa was comfortable and the area was more than adequate for the couple minutes duration you expect to be there.
