What municipality is The Crown in? Sounds like (but may not be) the place we walked some distance to from the HP, but was at the time without a kitchen. Or restaurant license. Or something.

What transit do you take to The Pheasant (or does it require something other than the bus)? The menu looks interesting.

Have you been to the White Horse recently and have a current opinion on the food? We did try and visit for dinner not that long ago, but the only available table was in a back room that was just way too claustrophobic, and too much dominated by the fireplace. Might try it again at lunch when we get back (and hope for up front or maybe outside).
