BA works differently. If you have a connecting flight, you know exactly how much the total would cost. A 12.5k flight on top of a 12.5k flight, is gonna be 25k.
AS just says it will be whatever they want. Now they say it is 85k or 95k for a connection on JL, what if they just decide it is not enough? There is no clue or warning that they may or may not turn it into connection would be 120k next week, or maybe 420k. AS system is already so broken that any connection in a small Japanese airport would drive it to 130k in J for a 500 mile flight, who knows a 300k flight for SFO-HND-SDJ next year or two would be a system error or just another price "starting at" 75k?
