tldr: this is one of the cheaper Marriott options on the north side of Hong Kong and the property shows why. Even though ocean park means dealing with resort fees and rude staff, I will probably stay there next time.

Checked in this afternoon, was first given a room on the 14th floor where the toilet flush button was stuck, resulting in constant water flush. Front desk was nice enough to change our room to a higher floor where the toilet was fine but it smelled like a wet towel. We asked the staff to refresh so they sprayed some air freshener and it covered up the issue for a while until bed time and the smell is coming back. The issue is probably because the shower was mounted in a way that water will get all over the floor. This probably also explains why both rooms have bathrooms where the walls are crumbling.

we had a points night tonight where only 2 double beds are available… our reservation tmr on is for one large bed… hopefully hotel will switch us to a room where everything works and don’t smell.
