The current A330 product HA uses is simply not competitive on a route like SEA-NRT or SEA-ICN. No Premium Economy and very dated J product that lacks built in IFE. Upgrading these aircraft ASAP should be a priority for AS if they want to be competitive on these routes.
If the "price is right," I'd fly the A330, but it would have to be at a steep discount from the others. Even discounting the lack of bells y whistles, the seat itself isn't very comfortable for a longhaul.
