Went to the Beobank office today to apply for a card. They were accepting applications from the office starting today. Couldn’t get the Altitude apparently because my M&M membership number wasn’t okay for that card. They shoved an Explore down my throat. I thought anyone with an M&M account number could apply (and pay for the card ofc). Anyone has any information otherwise or was bumped down when applying online?
I believe only the cashback / metal version / 5000 welcome miles is restricted to HON/SEN. That being said, I did notice that they have updated the application page from when I applied to clarify this. Originally the cashback / 5000 miles was "open" and for applications before end of 2025. Now it has been updated to end of April 2024.
Maybe they have temporarily closed applications to non HON/SEN for this reason? Or the bank clerk was misinformed and assumed the card was only intended for HON/SEN. Making the card available only for H?ON/SEN makse no sense, as they have many of the benefits as part of status already.
