if they cancel the flight early, of course you might make it to western wave via LHR and end up to LAX roughly at original time. But if they cancel within few hours of original departure, you will of course arrive to LAX on the following day i.e. almost 24h later than planned.
Have not checked can one make to any AA/BA LAX flights within MCT if taking 11/12am HEL-LHR flight.
