Morning all.

I was scheduled to fly to Dublin on BA 834 in business this morning. Got the cancellation email as I changed to the Piccadilly line on the way to Heathrow.

I have a separate booking with EI to ORD at 15:20 this afternoon. I called BA and have been rebooked onto the EI 159 an hour or so later than originally scheduled. Got a couple of questions:

1) what's the downgrade compensation (no J on EI)? Cost me 8,500 Avios + £37
2) Any delay/cancellation compensation or too short? BA claim it's due to ATC weather restrictions - I could be wrong and I'm no expert but the skies are clear and it wouldn't be the first time BA blamed weather/ATC for unrelated issues.
3) what are the odds BA will rebook me direct to ORD, despite separate bookings (although both made from BA account)? Worth trying at T5 in person? GCH if that makes a difference.

Cheers
