exactly. even assuming all spend is on BA and BAH, 15k gbp only gives you 30k avios more than the free card. that is 1 penny per avios for those extra avios. so 1) it means i would expect everyone to be spending at least 15k gbp because doesnt make sense to "buy" avios at such a costly rate and dont earn the 241, and 2) people are going to spend more on BAPP to get more avios, because you need redemptions that is at least worth that 1 penny per avios (more if not all spend is BA and BAH)
so it really doesnt make much sense to amex and they should really be asking BA why are they footing the bill for BA's changes?

yeah i know. just a tongue in cheek comment. but i really do hope that amex stay firm and dont pay BA for those TPs
