Spirit Advise

Live in Orlando and fly Spirit every week. Suggestions:

Get the Spirit Mastercard - More SQP, 25% off inflight purchases, Zone 2 boarding, and 50,000 bonus points

If you can go for the Gold status match for $1250 in spend 90 days vs $5000

i try to book with points and pay for the Big Seat. You save the $23.99 segment fee for each flight when using points.

Keep a watch on flights after you book, prices or points go down sometimes and you cancel and rebook for future flight credits or point rebate.

I sometimes get the flight insurance for short connection bookings. I have used the benefits when you misconnect and have to purchase on a new flight on another airline. The credit card also has flight insurance.

Other than that --Spirit is great -- its the passengers that are sometimes bad.
