thanks for the helpful reply (and nicely done on the Dell credit!) ... I feel like I'm willing to roll the dice a little if the odds are not too badly against me - worst case scenario I spend $50 on a $50 GC for a restaurant that looks pretty nice and don't get it refunded. But if there were like zero chance I'd get the credit then I'd rather not do it.
