I just learned that CX won’t award AA miles on most economy fare, even I choose Flex fare. The H fare which awards AA miles cost almost the same as premium economy.
Here is my dilemma : I plan to purchase CX economy and upgrade with miles. If I use my Asian miles number, I will earn miles on CX. Will I have access to the first class lounge with my One World Emerald from AA? ( show my status on AA app?).
The other option is to get the upgrade with Asia Miles and change it back to AA. I have access to the Pier First class but I won’t earn any miles on my flight.
Hope there is a way I can get CX or AA miles and access to first class lounge.
