Haven't tried her dishes onboard as I'm not an LHR flyer, but sounded interesting, so coming back to the offerings out of FRA/ MUC, they aren't any good at all. No way to dress it up.
Not impressed. I can’t remember the exact dish I had, but it was bland and forgettable. I didn’t bother with her other dish which IIRC was something with lentils.
I loathe the celebrity chef creations. In fact, one of the worst things I’ve had the displeasure of putting in my mouth was the result of a (thankfully short-lived) Californian chef collaboration. I still retch mentally when I think of it.
Whatever they say about taste-testing, the dishes Do Not translate well to being airborne. Maybe because celebrity chefs have egos and don’t want their creations altered too much.
These days if carrot cake is offered as a snack I just have it as a main instead, although the portions seem to have shrunk.
Does anyone know if the chefs get paid in cash or ‘exposure’? Because that money could be better spent elsewhere.
