Just an update to my question, I did book my "qualifying flight" but did it by phone.

As you guys said on here, the lowest qualifying flight class is "H" although it was I who suggested this to the "nice BA lady" who at first told me it would have to be a full "Y" class ticket.
Just 11 days till my IOM quick RT....Now then is that 20 tier points each way??

I did mention the fact that you can't book different classes of ticket on the web site, "nice BA lady" says, yes but we are doing something about that.

After all that my better half says "why can't you get me a cheap RT on the same flights...we could have the day in the IOM....Oh dear more expense.....
