Frankfurt Airport for someone with mobility issues
My parents just transferred through Frankfurt on a fairly tight connection, and my father really struggled. He has mobility and balance issues and is deaf, and trying to get from one gate to the next, which was very far, was very difficult, and he fell over when he got to the gate.
They are transferring back through Frankfurt in a couple of months, and I'm trying to find out what we can do to make it easier for him. The problem is, he doesn't want to use a wheelchair.
Are there options for those seated carts zipping through the airport? Could he get a seated folding scooter?
I know he should just use a wheelchair but he is unwilling (at least for now) but I don't think he will be able to travel anymore if we don't come up with something, as he really can't walk as far as some transfers require. He lives between two countries and does four long-haul flights a year.
Any advice would be appreciated.
