IHG Hotels & Resorts will open its first Hotel Indigo in the Balearic Islands in summer 2026 with the launch of Hotel Indigo Menorca.
Located in Mahón, the island’s capital, the 75-room property is a conversion of the former
Set Hotel Agamenon in Es Castell.
It will offer direct views over the harbour, easy access to Menorca Airport, and a prime location near cultural landmarks such as Isla del Rey and the Hauser & Wirth art centre.
Each room will feature a private terrace, and the hotel will include a sea-view restaurant, a bar celebrating local flavours, and an outdoor pool.
In line with the Hotel Indigo ethos, the property will reflect the character and heritage of the surrounding area, creating an experience rooted in Menorca’s natural charm and cultural identity. Its proximity to the lively Es Castell Marina will further enhance the local connection for guests.
This project strengthens IHG’s presence in Spain, where it currently operates 57 hotels with 15 more in development. Hotel Indigo Menorca expands the group’s growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in the region, alongside brands such as Kimpton, Vignette Collection, and Six Senses.
