This was remarkably stress free in the end. I went through passport control at T1, headed to the train station and to 2F. When there, I generated a baggage tag for my suitcase from a machine and dropped it off at a drop-off point.

I think I'm yet to have one of the CDG connection horror experiences that are so common and that... scares me for the future.
