this is definitely a privileged problem I appreciate.

we are flying business London to Melbourne in May with a 2 year old and 5 year old (2 adults).

we were hoping to fly Qatar qsuite in seats E & F (x2) to allow each of us to have a child with us and the privacy doors and double bed configuration would be perfect.

unfortunately there are no seats left together over a whole three week period in May (our dates are not as flexible as that but the agent checked three weeks). It’s impossible to put the two year old in a single seat as we wouldn’t be able to see him, he doesn’t really talk yet etc. the 5 year old we could manage but not the toddler.

im now not sure what to do. Other airlines are all options but is there any set-up that creates a double seat or allows a parent to look after a very young child without much separation?

I’ve flown Qatar without qsuite and I think it would be too hard to manage on that.

emirates in 777 two seat format looks like a possible option although there’s still more separation than I’d like.

Other airlines from London include Malaysian, etihad and Singapore.
