Never heard of such an offer and a Google search returns nothing. It would effectively turn card into a 1.5 mile/$ card (on top of category bonuses), so I can't see why they would offer something like that. There were some recent reports of targeted offers for statement credits for various spend thresholds, but there were no additional milage credits. Around 4 years ago during Covid they ran a limited time promo (non-targeted) for additional miles/MQM bonuses for every $1000 in spend, but that is long gone. I suspect you misread something.
