Well, it's no secret that one fare ways are never a bargain. However, I haven't been able to pull up anything on aa.com from NGO to the States in coach (even checking the "with restrictions" box) for less than around $2200.

So I splurged on an overseas call to AA's platinum desk in the US to ask about fares, and I get the following responses from two different agents.

1) Nagoya, I said. "Na-whatta?" he replied. "Do you have the code for that, sir?"

2) "We don't fly there. What country is that city in anyway?"

It's always nice to start out the day with a good laugh.
