As mentioned above, the issue is that Rocket Travel is lying. They claim that I never went to the hotel and that the reservation was correctly made on their end. However, I have email proof from the hotel confirming that I was there and that the reservation never appeared in their system.
I am dealing with extremely dishonest people, and if you check Reddit or other online forums, you’ll see multiple reports about their questionable partnership with Virgin.
I believe that unless Flying Blue takes action and tells them to stop misleading their clients, they will continue their abusive practices.
Additionally, I don’t care whether the money was lost in the process—I was never able to stay at the hotel, so I should be refunded. When a service is not provided, a refund is the standard business practice.
Paying for a hotel stay but not being able to sleep there is like ordering food at a restaurant and never receiving it—you wouldn't expect to be charged for something you never got.
