My ranking of carriers in terms of quality/performance etc is

1 Airlink
2 Safair
3 Fastjet
4 South African

11:30 Airlink looks like a good option, or the 10:00 if you feel a bit braver.

Cemair is also an option. I've not flown them but family members who travel weekly around SA aren't fans.
To be fair even Cemair and SAA who are the bottom of the pile in reliability still maintain reliability levels far in excess of the European or US majors with 90% or higher on-time performance. It is just that Airlink and Safair are constantly dueling it out in the 95-98% range that everyone else forgets the exceptional pertormance of the entire industry.

Unless of course there is a fuel shortage, an ILS failure, bad weather or something else out of their control. Then all bets are off.
