I’m 1-for-15 on upgrades YTD and the 1 came 48 hours before check-in.

Just this week (all awards stays)…

1. Requested upgrade at check-in. Agent said “we don’t do that here. If you want to change your room, you’ll have to call the diamond desk”.

2. Requested upgrade at check-in. Agent said the 1-category room change would be $80/night.

I receive them frequently across several HH brands.
