How is the CDG - LAX - PPT flight a 5th freedom flight ? PPT is not a third country, it is an integral part of France.

5th freedom would be to a third country. Sort of like CA865 which flies PEK - MAD - HAV and you can buy tickets from MAD - HAV. Or now that I look at it, CA867 as well which goes from MAD - GRU for a great price.
