I'd consider that a bigger issue than IFE, but that's just me. Seat comfort is kinda the #1 reason you pay for better classes to begin with. Otherwise, why not just be in Y. IFE is on shakier ground than "broken seat", is my view. (Although I do think the carrier has an obligation to ensure all the bells and whistles, esp. IFE are working. Just generally speaking I think 18k is plenty, assuming the OP can use them. If the OP can't use them, that's a different story and gets More interesting.)
