I invested 100,000 EA Frequent Traveler miles for a lifetime Ionosphere Club membership. When EA merged with CO, it transformed into a lifetime Presidents Club membership. When CO merged with UA, it transformed into a lifetime Red Carpet Club ==> United Club membership. And a few years ago a United Club access was included as a GS benefit. The difference is that I can bring in guests due to the legacy lifetime membership, which GS cannot. I think that EA miles investment was a good one!
