I just started paying out of pocket for the United Club membership with my Infinite card. My wife and I are about to be empty nesters. She travels fairly often internationally and I have never gone anywhere really. So, I'm starting to travel with her more and we wanted each of us to have a separate new credit card just for travel. We hate having our credit card number stolen which has happened several times and changing all those bill accounts is tedious. I figure with using a credit card in some areas of the world at sketchy car rentals or restaurants, I'd rather have a card not tied to other things. The infinite card has a nice set of perks for travel and also gives my wife and I access to the United Clubs when traveling domestically which we do a fair amount of. I'm not going to keep a spreadsheet to see if I get my moneys worth, because in the grand scope of travel expenses, it's not that much.
