I flew SIN-MNL last December and ordered the thermidore. It tasted strange and a bit flat. I was expecting lobster pieces in a velvety white sauce, and perhaps also cheesy (depending on which version). Instead the sauce was a bit gritty as if the flour weren't cooked enough in the white sauce and it had a hint of five spice powder flavor. Strangest main dish I have ever had.
