Based on the periodically surfacing DPs in AA/AS forums I am sure there are plenty of travelers not checking their partner flight awards then got caught in this bad situation. What is astonishing is this problem has been an ongoing problem for over 3 years based on the latest cases reported in this thread. My Oman Air flights were booked in Nov 2024.

The first such DPs surfaced iirc is way back sometime in 2022. We had a trip to Jordan / Egypt in late 2022 booked with AA miles on QR to Jordan, I remembered I was quite nervous when I checked QR site on the booking - thankfully ours were properly issued with the checked bags info listed under the Class of Service. If the ticket has no baggage allowance endorsement attached, that area would be Blank.

Never see a DP on AS or AA issued revenue tickets have same issue. So this must be unique to award tickets.
