I did find two WY employees (of >10) who helped: Mr. Ali, the assistant manager for Oman Air USA, and Mr. Salim, who was working the counter (not check-in) in Muscat. The latter went through the nonworking complaint web page with me and finally succeeded in filing it for me as I was boarding my flight to leave MCT. I have since received 2 emails saying that I was inquiring about mileage credit and lounges in addition to the baggage extortion. I replied to the second using an Arabic translation. We'll see...
Agree. Mr. Ali was very helpful. He was the person who answered my calls on the No Bag Allowance Language on the reservation shown on Oman site. He told me I needed to get ticket reissued else I would be in trouble at check in if that wasn't fixed.
He replied to my email to the general email address because I also encountered the issue of unable to update my contact info on both telephone number and email address. On his reply on my second email, he attached a jpeg file that captured my booking in Oman system with all the passenger data, plus the Trusted Traveler info that included middle name, itinerary with 2 tickets AS issued (the 2nd one was reissued to include the baggage allowance endorsement). In Oman's internal record my phone number and email address are correct. Though Oman site still tells me Contact info is missing, and would not let me add info - each time it produces an error, Please try later.
I actually printed pdf file of Mr. Ali's emails just in case I encounter anything at Oman's MXP check in counter as my itinerary is MXP-MCT, later MCT-DXB, travelling in late April.
