Although to be fair if status is not showing on the tablet, then the ISM either goes on your word, or has to verify a pax is Elite or EP which would require showing a digital card.
‘Asking for evidence of status ’ also seems poor….. but stories on folks always trying ‘hacks’ for free/better stuff does means cabin crew (potentially) have more to deal with
