We fly youth sports teams around the US. WN fares have not been competitive for the past 12 months or so however the free bags and open seating along with simple to understand fares made them a no brainer. Most times we'd select a 1 stop on WN vs a direct on another airline.

With these changes we have no reason to take 1 stops anymore which reduces the risk of loosing baggage (Hockey bags and sticks etc.).

2024 we did 12 round trips on WN with an average of 30 pax. Not a huge loss to WN but a loss never the less.
