I remember that place, although it never impressed me as true luxury. Now I'm curious to walk past (on my next trip to Paris, obviously) and see what has been done.
It seems odd to try to have a luxury hotel (after the renovations) with no restaurant and bar. I wonder what hotel services they will offer? Perhaps massage in one's room/suite (arranged with an outside provider, advanced notice required?) but no spa? I guess the hotel could arrange for private catering in one of the lounges.
Some hotels with only 12-15 rooms (or even fewer) do provide lots of services.
I think the smallest hotel where I've spent the night had 11 rooms, although I also vaguely remember a place with four rooms that I would describe as more of an inn than a hotel. In France and Germany--especially in the countryside--one sees good restaurants with rooms, but they tend to be more like a B&B (on the lodging side) than a hotel.
