Spent a long weekend in Park City a couple of weeks ago. We spent a few days at the Hyatt Place during the week before moving to the Centric for the weekend. Given the 30 day cancellation policy, we were a bit uncertain about the trip. There had been a ski patrol union strike and not much snow, so we were unsure if things would improve by the time we arrived. Fortunately, everything worked out, and the trip turned out to be great.

I booked the trip and added a suite upgrade award before the property moved up a category last year, which got us into the One Bedroom Large Residence. On Friday morning/day of check in, I joked with my partner that there was no way they could upgrade us any further. The only upgrade left would be to one of the multi-bedroom suites. When I checked the app a couple of hours later, I was surprised to see we were upgraded to the Two Bedroom Residence with 1 King and 1 Queen!

We arrived around 3pm, but our suite was not ready yet, so we left our stuff in the car/garage and walked around Canyons Village. When we finally got to the suite, it was amazing. It was much larger than we needed for just the two of us, but the extra space was definitely nice. The rest of the property was just as impressive. The pool and hot tubs were never crowded, and the gym was pretty empty too. I only saw one person using the Peloton bikes while we were there, so I was able to get in a few rides without having to wait or come back. My first set of rides posted the next day, but I still need to reach out to Hyatt because I have not received points for another set of rides I did on a different bike. I also thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and steam room, which was a first for me at a property.

The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There is discussion upthread about the $40 breakfast credit, and while I did not confirm it with the property, I think it applies to the subtotal. Our subtotal was always under $80, but with tax and tip, the total was closer to $100 each time. We were never charged for anything in the end. On Sunday, I asked about a late checkout since we had a late flight on Monday, and they were very accommodating. I offered to move to a smaller room, but they told us we could stay in our suite until 4pm!

Overall, we would love to come back. The location is perfect. We only drove once (to meet up with friends) during our stay, as everything we needed was so close that it never felt necessary to use the car much. We probably will not be back for a while since we want to explore other ski-in/ski-out properties, but we look forward to seeing how the Sunrise Gondola will help with the base area wait times once it is open.
