There is mention that two of the versions do not have the oversized Airbus lockers overhead; in the third version, there is no mention of whether those lockers are present. Slight differences in pitch, width, and recline are noted as well. It appears one of the three builds has a Thales IFE system in the seatbacks. I am not sure that you can tell which one is supposed to fly you on your particular flight, but aerolopa is a great site to use to find specifics on the interiors of commercial airplane cabins generally.
You can look up the tail number using something like
FlightRadar24.com and reference to the (sometimes out of date)
AA Fleet Site , however the aircraft will only be assigned day-of (or maybe day before) and is subject to last minute swaps. I would tell them that there is no IFE, but have them pack headphones in case they are surprised.
