Earning points on the card used for payment doesn't have to do with where/ how the hotel was booked - it may effect benefits and if you'll earn points from the hotel for the stay but not if you earn points from your credit card. What matters is if the charge codes correctly as a Hilton hotel in which case it will earn 14x on the Aspire.
