Miles and More account blocked
Newly minted Senator (I earned it the old fashioned way - BIS miles).
While attempting family member redemptions (same last name as me - so no red flags normally) I find that my account is locked pending a security review.
Has anyone else gone through this process?
The Senator desk cannot help. Says I must fill in an online form directed towards Miles and More and they will "get back to me" without any sense of how long it will take.
If there are any potential red flags in my account it could be that I recently redeemed for family (2-3 months ago) for someone with a different last name.
But that was at the end of last year... since then the only redemptions (and LOTS of them) have been for immediate family because we realize we needed to burn miles before the big devaluation strikes in June 2025.
I am not missing any other data points. I earn miles the usual way - a few through co-branded credit card purchases but mainly through premium class travel on the LH group.
Any advice on what happens next? Do I just sit and wait it out?
