Due to weather conditions in the summer we will choose HR Lake Tahoe or Park Hyatt Aviara.
One last question to someone who stayed at both properties in summer: which one is less crowded ( i know- a very subjective opinion/ experience)
as hotel itself aviara is less crowded and definitely more upscale but tahoe offers a lot more from outdoors activities in the area especially in summer (even without beach access)
all depends on what you are looking for - tahoe is mountains trees lake outdoor activities, aviara is resort/pools with theme parks shopping and well manicured suburbia all around (and ocean not far away)
