Hey everyone, i stayed at the Kimpton Maa Lai last time I was BKK and I really enjoyed it. Great gym, lots of locals/travelers in their 20s/30s, great pool, and affordable. This time I see that the Waldorf, PH, and Rosewood are all very much within the price range of the Kimpton due to free night+amex/virtuoso promos. I have status with IHG and Marriott but for this section of my trip I don’t really care about using it.

i am Gen Z so clientele that skews towards 20-late 30s

location is irrelevant as I don’t really go out for nightlife in Sukhumvit. This stay is going to be for resting from long nights
I would probably go with Rosewood if you're okay with an enclosed top floor bar. Their spa is one of the best in the city for getting treatments. Park Hyatt is quite good too. Infinity pool and a shopping mall right underneath.

I've stayed in the Standard's Presidential suite and it still wasn't Luxury Forum worthy. A retro, trendy lifestyle hotel but nothing remotely ultra luxury about it.
